Oil Based Nail Polish? | L'Oréal Paris Color Riche A L'Huile

As always when in Boots, I end up buying things I don't need. These nail polishes caught my eye because the packaging was so different and interesting and these two colours were beautiful, aptly named 664 Greige Amoureux (what I am wearing) and 672 Gris Decadent.

These are the L'Oréal Color Riche A L'Huile, decribed as 'A blend of precious Oils and intense colour pigments for sophisticated, powerful results. Our first Nail Polish with Oil. Breathtaking shine, obsessive colours and precious care, in one polish.'

The first thing that I immediately noticed when applying this is the smell which is described as a subtle rose scent. They do smell absolutely magical, I personally feel like the scent is exactly like sweets and love hearts, however it is extremely pungent. If you do enjoy fragranced products you might be a tad reluctant to use a top coat as it will negate the smell. Without a topcoat it does not fair that well, which sucks!

Depending on which colours you use, multiple layers will be required to achieve an opaque shiny finish. Do not be deceived by the colour of the polish in the bottle, because they are slightly different when used. The brush is flat and wide making it extremely easy to use with one swipe. The formula is thick but easily manageable.

Overall, I would buy more these nail polishes because the packaging it so cute, that it would look good on display and they have an amazing range of colours (556 Grenat Irreverent and 670 Cobalt Indecent you're next).
