As Christmas approaches you tend to want everything and you actually have a valid reason for buying so much stuff under the guise of treating yourself and its the season! Well here are just some bits and bobs which I am tempted to treat myself too/let other people buy me!

The season of winter is almost upon us, do you know what that means? Hot drinks, warm fluffy socks, blankets and of course CHRISTMAS! But, unfortunately it is getting colder which means my skin is becoming dull and dry and all sort of things that I can be without. So here are a few tips for you guys to help you combat dull skin!



Exfoliate | Getting rid of dead skin cells is the fastest way to brighten up dull skin. As new skin cells are uncovered, it allows your skincare product to penetrate your skin more effectively. However, do not exfoliate too much because this can have the undesired effect of dry and irritated skin, once a week will suffice!

Moisturise | As winter approaches, the weather can have detrimental effects on your skin, so it is very important to keep your skin moisturised. You should switch to a thicker moisturiser to lock moisture in and to combat the harsher weather.

Drink Water | You have to keep hydrated inside and out. Drinking more water (if you don't already) will help if your skin is dehydrated and dull. It will help get rid of toxins in your body more easily. Don't expect instant results, stick to it for a few weeks, your skin will thank you.

Highlighter | This tip may not be to everyones taste, but personally I love highlighter. It can give you a natural glow and really brighten up your face, making you look fresher and younger.

Concealer | I personally do not like wearing foundation because it is extremely uncomfortable for me, so just a dab of concealer around the eyes and nose area and blemishes and I am good to go. I really like the Maybelline Fit Me for all round concealing.

Highlighter | Just dabs of highlighter on your: cheekbones, forehead, nose and eyes, can really brighten up your entire face and make you look like you have that natural glow from within. I am currently use the L'oreal Lumi Magique which is extremely easy to blend and gives you an amazing natural sheen.

Blusher | Adding a little colour to your cheeks keeps things natural looking and fresh Teaming blusher and highlighter will make your look very cute and sweet, keeping your skin looking hydrated and moist, which is perfect for the upcoming colder months ahead. This Bourjois Blusher has an extremely find glitter/shimmer, so you can skip on the highlighter if you wish. It is a great way of keeping your make up look simple.

Eyebrow Pencil | Lightly filling in your eyebrows can be a more subtle way of defining your eyes without eyeliner. Wearing eyeliner can look quite heavy sometimes, but if you still want definition, filling in your eyebrows is a great way. This Etude House drawing eye pencil has a twist up pencil in one end and a brush in the other, so it is very convenient for lazy people like me.

Lip Balm | Everyone should keep their lips hydrated all year around. This Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm comes in many different flavours, but my favourite is the peach. It is an extremely pleasant true peach scent, and it leaves your lips soft and moisturise with a slight coral tint.

So, a few weeks ago (23rd September), I walked into my local piercing place just to ask their opinion on my daith. Personally I think it was pierced a little shallow but, all the piercers I go to and ask they said its ok, so lets hope its ok and I will try to stop being so paranoid. Anyway, I impulsively decided to get my rook pierced with a bar. This was mainly because I got my cartilage pierced with a BCR and it kept getting caught.

I have been wanting more piercings for a long time, seeing as my last piercing had been in February. So, I went in and struggled to sit on the chair because it was way too high and I am shorter than I'd liked to admit.

He marked where he was going to pierce, I checked and agreed on the placement and he stuck a needle through me and tried to put the bar jewellery through. Now as you know, the rook is in a hard to reach place on your ear, so he struggled getting the jewellery in (and because my ear was small apparently) which meant he kept bashing my tragus and it wasn't fully healed yet. It was painful and with every struggle I was slowly edging away haha. In the end he put a bigger needle through me so he could get the jewellery in more easily and he also got some clamps so he could tighten the jewellery in more easily.

Overall, I don't think it was the most painful piercing I have had, I don't know whether its because the pain of my tragus was taking away from the pain of the rook piercing but yeah..it wasn't terribly painful.

I am also a bleeder haha.

Anyway, I love it, its so pretty and hidden away and subtle and is healing like a dream!

In my face masks haul you may have saw me buy some Innisfree sheet masks. I got the line called 'It's a Real Squeeze' in Manuka Honey and Blackberry. They also have: kiwi, green tea, acai berry, rice, rose, strawberry, lime, bija, tea tree, pomegranate, shea butter, aloe, bamboo and cucumber. Each one promises different skin benefits, so you will definitely find something that is suited to you!




The sheets masks of this range are all composed of three different layers. This is supposed to help the essence absorb into your skin more efficiently, thus leaving you with fully nourished and moisturised skin. 

The essence in the mask is extremely runny and thinner than you would expect it to be. The essence in the Manuka Honey mask was transparent whereas the essence in the Blackberry mask was opaque and creamy looking.

Both face masks have a very faint smell. The Manuka Honey ever so slightly smelt of honey and the Blackberry had a faint hint of berries. The sheet mask had a very nice fit on my face, especially around the eyes. There were special cuts in the mask to allow you to mould the mask to fit your face with ease.

After the removal of the sheet mask and massaging of the essence into your skin (as instructed on the packaging), you are left with quite an uncomfortable tacky feeling on your face and it lasts for a good few hours. I suppose this happens to help your skin retain and absorb the moisture for longer. 

The Experimenter | I have seen many beauty gurus use this bath bomb before and I understand why. This bath bomb contains vanilla and tonka. The scent personally for me wasn't a favourite, but how can you resist the colours? This turns your bath water into paint water, with all of the pretty colours swirling together. When it fully dissolves you get what I call murky mixed paint water haha, but when you mix the water your bath turns into a pretty purple with glitter and who doesn't love a bit of glitter?

Golden Wonder | Even though this mainly consists of citrus scents, which I am personally not a big fan of, it is surprisingly pleasant. It will also fill your bath with stars and turn it turquoise. I can't wait to use this and get into the Christmas spirit..even if it is a bit early.

Father Christmas | I may be a little but bias towards the snow fairy scent, but this is my favourite bath bomb out of all three! It is an extremely sweet smell, but it isn't over powering. It also turns your bath bright green!

It seems like another nail day! Here I am wearing Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nails in 'Like A Nude'. I usually hate nudes, mainly because I haven't found one that suited me. This is the perfect nude which goes with my skin tone very nicely. It also has a beautiful shiny gel finish, however this formula is supposedly meant to mimic gel nails, with the finish and longevity. After a few days my nails started chipping, which really sucks because this is an absolutely beautiful colour. I don't know if its me or if its the nail polish...

October has come and gone all too quickly, but that just means Christmas is right around the corner...or is it still too early to be going crazy over Christmas? Anyway, here are some bits and bobs that I have been enjoying this month!













Colouring In Pictures | For some reason adult colouring in books have blown up quite recently and I can understand why! It is extremely therapeutic, relaxing and fun. Who doesn't want to snuggle up in bed with a cup of tea whilst colouring in, especially when I'm colouring in funky cats...can you tell that I am obsessed with cats? No? Good.

Etude House Face Masks | Sheet masks have been saving my skin as the weather becomes even harsher. They keep my skin moisturised and do not leave a residue on my face. They promise to purify and brighten your skin and I can tell you now everyone needs something brightening for their skin in the winter!

Let The Good Times Roll | I have had my eye on this for quite a long time so when I ran out of my exfoliator, I knew instantly which one to get. It has bits of popcorn in it and it has an extremely sweet scent. You take a little bit of the product and mix with water, then you massage and exfoliate your face. It is extremely fine and gets rid of all your dead skin easily!

Body Brushing | Everyone should start body brushing. It improves circulation and is a great way of exfoliating your skin, which is perfect for the colder months. Between you and I, I love a bit of circulation.

Blue Nail Polish | Blue will be extremely popular this season. Here I have three different shades of blue which are all beautiful! (L-R - Barry M Blackberry, Essie Mezmerised, Barry M Blue Grape). My absolute favourite is Barry M Blue Grape, it is such a beautiful colour which is very true to the bottle, you won't be disappointed.

ASOS Summer Shoes | Even though it is Autumn and these shoes are called summer shoes, we are just going to roll with it. I have been looking for mary jane styled heels for ages. I personally love heels but I wanted something more suited to everyday. These heels are only 3 inches, so they are very comfortable and perfect for everyday where, especially when you want to dress up.

Scarves | Its getting even colder (because its always cold and miserable and wet here in England) so it is time to be whipping out the scarves. This mustard scarf is just perfect for autumn and it was only £2, bargain!

Kalamazoo | I got this facial wash mainly because it was aimed for people with beards...so I got one for my boyfriend to try because it supposedly makes your beard softer and I personally don't like being exfoliated by his beard when we kiss. It smells amazing and refreshing, so I can't wait till he uses it!

Ultrabland | I have been getting into skincare more lately and was looking for a thicker cleanser so I could have a nice deep cleanse at night. The texture of this is extremely thick and very balm like.

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Polish | These nails polishes...I wasn't even planning on getting one let alone three nail polishes! However, the colours look extremely pretty and I can't wait to see if they do last as long as real gel nails...a girl can only hope.

The scrub contains oatmeal so it is not as abrasive as other scrubs out there! It has a scent, predominately honey (who saw that coming), which I am personally not a big fan of..however the scrub does the job and leaves my skin nice and refreshed! Not red and raw from being too abrasive!

However, personally I can not stand the smell, so I probably will not be repurchasing! But, if you want a nice exfoliator which smells like honey and is gentle on your skin, this is the one for you.
